What this test measures

This measures IgE antibody directed specifically against grass pollen. Allergen-specific IgE is graded in classes: below 0.35 kUA/L is class 0 (not detected), then classes 1 to 6 with rising levels. A positive shows sensitisation, meaning the immune system has made antibody; it does not by itself mean the food or substance causes symptoms.
