How it works

Three steps, no clinician in the loop, nothing saved until you have checked it.

1

Upload

Photograph a paper printout, upload a PDF (password-protected ones included), paste text from a portal, or forward the email to your private address.

2

Check

We transcribe every line: value, unit, date, the range your lab printed and any flag. You review it against the original before anything is saved.

3

Understand and keep

Each test comes with a plain-English explanation. Star the ones you care about, chart them over time, and print or email a summary for your next appointment.

Works with every provider

NHS GP and hospital reports, the NHS App, Medichecks, Thriva, Randox, Bupa, Nuffield, TDL, Forth, Numan and more. Each provider explains only its own tests; we put them all on one timeline so trends across years and providers finally make sense.

425 tests explained

Kidney, liver, cholesterol, diabetes, full blood count, iron, B12, thyroid, every reproductive and fertility hormone, semen analysis, the autoimmune panel, vitamins and trace elements, tumour markers, urine and stool tests, allergy, infection serology, transplant monitoring, medicine levels and genetic tests.

Your lab's range, not ours

The reference range printed on your report is stored with the result and always takes precedence. Where a report prints none, a typical UK adult range is shown and clearly labelled.

Private by design

Stored in the UK, visible only to you, never sold or shared with clinics, insurers or advertisers. Download everything or delete everything yourself, any time.

What it is, and what it is not

Results Checker is an educational reference and personal record. It explains what a test measures, why doctors request it, and what commonly moves it up or down in the general population. It shows your numbers against the range your laboratory printed.

It does not interpret your individual results, calculate a risk, suggest a diagnosis or recommend treatment, and it is not a medical device. A result outside the range is marked "discuss with your doctor", because that is the right next step. Nothing here replaces the doctor who requested the test.

Questions

Is it safe to upload my results?

Your account and results are stored in a UK database with row-level security, so only your signed-in session can read them. To transcribe a report we send the document, without your name or email, to Anthropic's Claude API, which does not train on it and deletes it after short-term storage. Full details in the privacy notice.

Will it tell me what is wrong with me?

No. It explains the test and shows your number against the range. Interpreting what a result means for you is your doctor's job, and the summary you print or email is designed to make that conversation quicker.

What if a test on my report is not in the list?

It is kept under the name printed, with its value and range, and still appears on your timeline. Email us the test name and we will add it.

Do I need to install an app?

No. It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. On a phone, add it to your home screen for a one-tap camera upload.

Can I cancel?

Yes, from the Account screen, any time. Access continues to the end of the paid month, and you can download or delete your data at any point.
