Results Checker is provided by Patient Thread Ltd (company number 17167409). It transcribes laboratory reports you upload, stores the results so you can view them over time, shows each result against the reference range printed by your laboratory, and provides general educational information about each test. Results Checker is an information and record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, risk assessment or treatment recommendations, and it is not a medical device. Nothing in the app creates a doctor-patient relationship with Patient Thread Ltd or any individual. Always discuss your results with the doctor or service that requested the test. If you feel unwell, contact your GP, NHS 111, or in an emergency 999.
Reports are transcribed automatically and you must check every value before saving it; the review screen exists for that purpose. We do not guarantee that transcription is error-free, that a typical reference range matches your laboratory's, or that the educational text applies to your circumstances. Reference ranges vary between laboratories, methods, ages and sexes.
You must be 18 or over and provide accurate details. You are responsible for keeping your password and your private forwarding address confidential. You may upload only reports you are entitled to hold (your own, or a dependant's for whom you are responsible). You retain ownership of your content; you grant us a licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.
Every account may have one report read in full free of charge and may type in results by hand without limit. The Plus plan, currently £4.99 per month including VAT, adds unlimited report reading (photo, PDF, email), charts, the timeline and print or email summaries. It is billed monthly in advance by Stripe, renews automatically, and can be cancelled at any time from the Account screen; access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with 30 days' notice by email. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have a 14-day right to cancel; if you use the service in that period you agree we may charge for the part used, and we will refund the remainder on request.
You may not attempt to access another person's data, probe or overload the service, upload malicious files, use the service to provide clinical advice to others, or resell it. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. We may change or withdraw features with reasonable notice; if we withdraw the service we will give at least 60 days' notice and you can download your data at any time.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on transcribed values or educational content in place of advice from your own doctor, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Consumers in Scotland and Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
