Player rules

Scira Night Shift is developed and published by Patient Thread Ltd. It is free to play with no adverts, subscriptions, in-app purchases or prizes. It is fictional entertainment: not laboratory training, not medical advice and not a Patient Thread clinical product.

Your account

You need to be 13 or older to create an account. Keep your password private and use one account per person. You are responsible for what is done with your account. You can sign out of all devices by changing your password, and you can delete the account at any time.

Player names

Choose a name suitable for a community of colleagues, customers and families. Do not use obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, harassing or impersonating names, or names that contain another person's private information. CEO is reserved for the game's creator. Names are checked automatically and reviewed by Patient Thread Ltd when reported; we may rename or suspend a profile that breaks these rules. There is no appeal process beyond emailing chris@patientthread.com.

Fair play

Do not submit fabricated results, alter the game's ranked rules, use automation or share accounts. The service verifies every ranked shift by replaying your recorded controls and may reject or remove results that fail verification. Scores are for friendly competition only.

Reports and moderation

Use the options beside a leaderboard name to hide a player or report a name, or email us. We act on reports with renames, suspensions or dismissals and keep a moderation log for 12 months. There is no player chat or messaging.

Service

Availability may be interrupted for maintenance. If a future change to gameplay rules would make old and new scores incomparable, we will start a new leaderboard season rather than mix them; no reset is scheduled. We may close the service with reasonable notice.
